Why is it I never heard of this? Searching the blogs I see a new 15mm APC coming soon to Shapeways. link |

Looks like something I'd trick out in Saints Row, complete with gold chrome, a purple paint job (Saints fo' life, yo!), and neon underglow. I think I'll pass. I like my military equipment to look for pratical. |

15mm scale with multipiece suspension?!? ouch! I like it, though I hope you can leave off the ground effects kit. |

It looks nice enough but I think I'd want a version with no ground effect kit. I have to say I'd rather have the wheels moulded on to the body than have to assemble suspension and steering in this scale (or any scale short of an RC model a foot long). I like to play games with my models not play with my models. John T |

That thing makes an A7V look like a monster truck. |

LordNth, that is because you been too busy making n-scale goodness to notice. :-) I am just glad it is eventually gonna be in 15mm. Was so jelly of it when i first came across it in the scale he originally did it in. I do agree about the ground effects though. But hey, not like the Colonial Marines APC has a ton of clearance either. :-) Must be a strictly urban vehicle i would guess. Grimm |

But hey, not like the Colonial Marines APC has a ton of clearance either. :-) Must be a strictly urban vehicle i would guess. As I recall they (ie Colonial Marines vehicles) use the same "air ride adjustale suspension" type argument as these ones and the very nice FATC models that Antenociti make have the option to cut lugs off wheels and position them higher. Not that anyone does, mind… John T |

IIRC, the adjustable ride height for the Aliens APC was so that it could fit into the dropship. Same reason the turret rolls behind the vehicle, to reduce overall height. |

Where is the spoiler and the hoodscoop? |
WJAL21 | 25 Aug 2014 2:55 p.m. PST |
I raised the ride height on one of my FATC trucks. Didn't raise it too much, just enough to make it different.
Did make a few other small mods while I was at it. And it's not just Landraiders (tm) that need turn signals. |

I like the looks of that Diablo! But it is definitely too close to the ground for an APC. It looks like it would high-center on a speed bump, for heaven's sake. |
