Great paint work-maybe it's the photo, but the horse looks a bit undersized? Is this a new mfg of figures? |

Grossman No not new….the late Dave Howitt, he who started Britannia Miniatures sculpted theses many moons ago…..but he did do two sets of horses….the figure above being on one of his 'light cavalry horse'…….I will try and dig out a heavy cavalry horse…which are a bit bigger and do the next figure on that……. These figures haven't seen light of day for at least 15 years and Andy has just got the moulds back into production….. Chris |

I thought this was a one piece moulding. Delighted to hear the figure can be detached. Important to stress that to appeal to customers. That is a very light cavalry horse, more of a Shetland pony. The hussar is great and I am suddenly far more interested! |

Deadhead Yes should have done that…..the sword blade comes separately too…but the hand/ guard is socketed and takes the blade well. When I have had our family holiday I will take some photos of the 'natural' figs before I start prepping them for the pots….. I think the hussar officer is, bizarrely, a one piece casting but can't check at the moment Chris |

My favorite hussars the 7th.Yes they should be on smaller horses, but that is too small. |

I purchased some Britannia Miniature 28mm from Andy. French Napoleonic Cuirassiers and Mamlukes. These are nice figures. Very detailed. Yes, the light cavalry horse is a bit small but not a Shetland pony. The heavy cavalry horses are much better. All the riders are detached from the horses. These troopers goes well with Front Rank. |
