Onslaught makes some great models in 6mm that many people use for Epic 40k proxies. They're asking for feedback on seeing their designs in 15mm. Browse them here: onslaughtmini.com Thoughts? |
Privateer4hire | 20 Aug 2014 8:41 p.m. PST |
I bought their alien bugs that look surprisingly like Tyranids :) I think it'd be great to have their stuff in 15mm esp. the female power armored miniatures. |
Richard Gaulding | 20 Aug 2014 8:44 p.m. PST |
Yes. I'm not a 6mm gaamer, but I do like the look of their sculpts – very clean and characterful – and think they would translate well to a larger scale. |
Covert Walrus | 20 Aug 2014 8:50 p.m. PST |
Only if the 6mm sculpts don't get squeezed out or ignored while the "latest and greatest" scale runs it's course . . . |
Cacique Caribe | 20 Aug 2014 8:59 p.m. PST |
WOW!!! I love those Avians and Legion figures. Fantastic detail. Definitely do them in 15mm. Dan |
javelin98 | 20 Aug 2014 9:15 p.m. PST |
I'd like to see the upcoming Hellborn Cultists in 15mm!
Not to mention, but those Legion aliens would make for perfect 15mm Genestealers, including Hybrids and the Magus. My 15mm Space Hulk project could really use those! |
Dementation | 20 Aug 2014 10:17 p.m. PST |
I have some of their models in 6mm, and I'd love to see their ranges in 15mm as well! The Hellborn and the OTC in particular :) |
Victor Kravenhoff | 20 Aug 2014 11:25 p.m. PST |
WOOT!? All their ranges would be GREAT to have in 15mm. Sisterhood: awesome range already, and what's to come will make it even better (love the hera battle tank). my only request with it would be that the Athene battle armour be kept with the current Riged chest plate it has, allowing the figures to be interpreted as either male or female; I would find a Power armoured elite corps that accepts women more useful for most settings than an all women power armoured corps. Avians: Khurasans Hauk make the concept already available, but the onslaught range would make bird aliens a far more well rounded army choice Legion: If put fully into 15mm, they would be the best damn tyranid like force in the scale. Okami Technocracy Combine: Like all onslaught ranges, its great, and very characterful. The only way to build a force like it currently would be to use a mixture of japenesish infantry (maybe 15mm UK's neo ashigaru or Khurasans corporate marines) some grav tanks, and some mechs cherry picked from places like heavy gear and Gundam. An upscaled Okami combine would be more homegenous (in a good way), and, in my humble opinion, cooler. Hellborn: Cultists are currently available, but they arent as well armed, and arent aviable mutated. have LOADS of uses Stygians. yes. Completely badass, and Completely unlike anything I know of that's currently our there. Overall, I think that onslaught would make a great addition to the 15mm world. The gothic and space fantasy motiffs of its soldiers, and the versatility of each of their ranges would be an interesting departure from (excellent) companies like khurasan and rebel minis who focus more on large numbers of small ranges with mostly hard sci-fi stylistic leanings. |

I remember when I first saw a photo of some of their stuff, and how disappointed I was that they were not 15mm. Here's hoping they decide to. |
McWong73 | 21 Aug 2014 3:33 a.m. PST |
certainly a customer of they go 15mm, the vehicle ranges especially |
comstarhpg | 21 Aug 2014 3:39 a.m. PST |
I agree definantly refreshingly different from the hard sifi troopers (not that I dont like hard sifi) but as said previously 15mm space hulk or dare I say 40k in 15mm ;) I hope they go for it, I know there will be alot of people here (including me) that will snap it up as soon as they start bringing out :) Cheers Matt |
War Monkey | 21 Aug 2014 4:13 a.m. PST |
Yeah I could go for their vehicles as well |
Cacique Caribe | 21 Aug 2014 7:11 a.m. PST |
If you do them in 15mm, please make sure the weapons are scaled down a bit. That way they'll appeal to a much broader clientele. Dan |
OctaChaz | 21 Aug 2014 7:18 a.m. PST |
I'd be very interested in them in 15mm if the weapons were slightly scaled down. |

Yep !!!!! 6mm Rules !!!! You 15mm guys, if even Onslaught considers 15mm, it probably won't be until he releases much more of him 6mm designs. And he has a lot of 6mm WIP, etc. to go … But in the long run it's up to Onslaught … and I'd never stand in the way of profit … 6mm is God's scale !!!!! |
yorkie o1 | 21 Aug 2014 8:11 a.m. PST |
Going up to 15mm can only be a good thing IMHO. Im a 6mm fan, but the extra cash generated will not hurt, and will hopefully boost more 6mm/15mm designs. Steve |
Legion 4 | 21 Aug 2014 8:38 a.m. PST |
As I said, the Ferengi in me will never stand in the way of profit …

This was posted to Onslaught's Facebook page a little while ago: ONSLAUGHT TO PRODUCE 15mm miniatures! Due to popular demand – we have decided to do a trial run of 15mm scale miniatures. The first minis to go 15mm will be the upcoming Hellborn infantry – Cultists, Zealots, Destroyers, Mutants, and Gore Maidens. If these models sell well enough, we will continue to provide additional lines at this new scale. Stay tuned for updates! |

Those are very cool… exciting stuff. |
Glenn M | 21 Aug 2014 12:35 p.m. PST |
I wish they were starting with the Stygians, but I'll pick up a pack or two of the Hellborn to encourage future releases. |

Twoball Cane | 21 Aug 2014 5:47 p.m. PST |

I would straight up buy many of the Okami Technocracy Combine minis in 15mm, along with Sectnids and Avians. Epic:15mm, baby!!! |
AVAMANGO | 21 Aug 2014 9:50 p.m. PST |
The Sisterhood would be amazing in 15mm the detail on the 6mm ones is impressive enough as it is. |
Gunner Dunbar | 22 Aug 2014 3:06 a.m. PST |
Yeah, I would buy some 15mm Hellborn, I have a 15mm Adaptus mechanicus army planned, it would save a bit of converting, and they look like pretty good looking figures, I have looked at them a few times and contemplated starting 6mm scifi, (I have 2 6mm hard scifi forces in the lead piles somewhere already) but I need another scale like a hole in the head. |
corporalpat | 22 Aug 2014 8:07 a.m. PST |
Yes, but only if they scale down the unrealistically huge weapons. |
wminsing | 22 Aug 2014 10:29 a.m. PST |
Neat! I might go in for these. -Will |
Twoball Cane | 22 Aug 2014 3:43 p.m. PST |

doublesix66 | 24 Aug 2014 3:27 a.m. PST |
Figures look good but until they get an EU distributor I won't be buying especially reading the shipping "Please note, that because a tracking service is not available for international orders from the USA, Onslaught Miniatures cannot be held resonaible for international orders that fail to reach their destination, nor can we provide any sort of delivery date – though most international orders should arrive within 3-5 weeks" |

@ doublesix66 Steel Crown Productions stock them link |
Sargonarhes | 24 Aug 2014 5:08 a.m. PST |
The Stygians look very much like dark eldar. These all being in 15mm look like very good 40K proxies. Now how to hide this from GW lawyers. |
doublesix66 | 24 Aug 2014 7:28 a.m. PST |
Thanks stroezie will have a look over there also an excuse to get a couple of Steel crown figures as well |
Legion 4 | 24 Aug 2014 8:09 a.m. PST |
Yes, Steel Crown, aka, Exodus Wars, stocks Onslaught and Trouble Maker Games … all 3 lines I highly recommend ! |
Legion 4 | 24 Aug 2014 8:12 a.m. PST |
… all being in 15mm look like very good 40K proxies. Now how to hide this from GW lawyers. GW has got their butt slapped recently in legal/copywrite cases … so I don't think that is much of a concern … |
Jimboba | 28 Aug 2014 9:20 a.m. PST |
I'm sitting in a puddle of my own drool. I've only resisted the 6mm stuff because I haven't fully re-activated on the Epic front yet. 15mm – oh yes. You've got my money Onslaught. (No doubt I'd order some 6mm while I was at it… cross selling!) |
Jimboba | 29 Aug 2014 3:06 a.m. PST |
What a fail. Went to check the availability at the afore mentioned Steel Crown site for postage etc (which is free BTW) and bought some 'sample' packs of the 6mm guys. So weak… |
Legion 4 | 29 Aug 2014 7:42 a.m. PST |
I have alot of Steel Crown/Exodus Wars … never thought they were weak ?!?!? I liked them very much … and I've always been very satisfied with everything I've received from them … And as I said, I've been doing 6mm Sci-fi since Epic in '90 … What did you get ? |
stroezie | 29 Aug 2014 9:04 a.m. PST |
I think he means he failed to resist his Ohh Shiny syndrome and ended up buying a bunch of stuff the weak willed sod ;) Ay least that is how I interpreted his post. |
Jimboba | 30 Aug 2014 2:59 a.m. PST |
Strozie is correct legion4. Not slurring steel crown. Slurring my own shortcomings. Placed order. Email sent following day saying it's sent. Probably turn up today. Nothing to slur. Apologies if I was misleading. |
Twoball Cane | 30 Aug 2014 6:03 a.m. PST |
Weak and wicked mean different things than typically defined in the north east of the USA I took his weak to mean he was weak not a criticism |

15mm? As my Klingon friends like to say, "wejpuH". I guess it's okay as long as they continue to fully support their 6mm lines with new items. And Fek'lhr take them to Gre'thor if they drop 6mm in favor of 15mm @L4

They are amusing, there are a couple variations around … I have the book with Quark on the cover. Interestingly, some of them are pretty accurate and useful …
