Hello lads,

Was just wondering of there are any ancients players who are currently living in the Netherlands? I am a member of a historical wargaming club but it isn't that large.

Regards,

Rory

Can I suggest you post that here:

The site owner is Dutch as are many of the members.

Or sign up for the Dutch miniature wargaming group on Facebook. Nearly 400 members there.

Rory,

Where in the Netherlands are you?
TSA (Tin Soldiers of Antwerp)(Belgium) is just across the border, has many Dutch club members and Ancients are regularly played.
Dux Brittaniarum is the great favourite nowadays.

I am 61 – does that count?

Have looked at those groups Ochoin, thanks for the tip! @WillieB currently living in Middelburg, Zeeland. So Antwerp is not far for me. I mostly play with a group called Militia Brabantie who play every 2 weeks in Eindhoven. About 7 guys play ancients or dark ages. So I am looking for more players/clubs for those categories. I might have a look in antwerp though! It is only a 45min car drive away, opposed to Eindhoven which is about 2,5 hours journey. @Broglie: sure! Why not? I just want to play wargames, age doesnt matter for me, I'm 22 myself.

Rory,

It goes without saying that you're always very welcome.
Clubnight is on Friday from 19.00hrs till 01.00 AM.
You don't even have to drive all the way to Antwerp itself as we're located north of the city towards the Dutch border.
(Exit 15 on the A12)

Currently playing Dark Ages ( Dux Brittaniarum)
SAGA is also being played and I expect the New Crescent And Cross will become popular too)

We're also playing a set of house rules (avaialble free) for early Crusades.

I've seen a group experimenting with Hail Caesar ( mostly Punic Wars)

The guys from Militia Brabantia are a great bunch. Many of them will be coming over to our anual event in November.
Crisis on November 1st with well over 100 traders and dozens of clubs from all over Europe and the UK. Might be an excellent chance to get to know lots of people.

But you don't have to wait that long to drop by!

Willie
