I've seen a lot of pretty dungeon terrain, but all of them either seem to have no walls at all or the walls are too high for my taste (though realistic, perhaps). I'd like to see dungeon walls on rooms and corridors that are thick enough to be clearly seen as walls / blocking, but not so high that they obscure the beautiful miniatures within the dungeon itself. Maybe 10-15mm high would be bout right. Has anyone tried this? I can't find many examples that really do what I'm talking about online. |

I think I saw a project where Hirst Arts was used for low dungeon walls, only about three tiny bricks high. |

i agree, I would think using Hirst blocks would allow you to customize this way. |

link This would seem to fit your criteria. Just need one mould (88). Nice and low. Hirst bricks are 1 x 1/2 inch for a full brick. |

You can see several examples at the Hirst Arts forum, with really low walls. Now IMHO, too low walls just don't seem "right". Most commercial dungeons with walls use 5cm (2") walls, but they are too tall for my taste, so my own dungeon gets 3cm walls. I think those walls are tall enough to convey the claustrophobic mood of a dungeon but still allows a clear view of the miniatures. Hope that helps. |

I wish those Mage Knight Dungeons tiles were still available. I could easily trim those down to fit 15mm, methinks. |
