It's nice to know that even books that don't win the Osprey polls get printed. Looking forward to it.

Great news. Maybe now Kingscarbine Miniatures figures will start to sell. :D

Finally! Time to pre-order.

I wrote to Osprey some time ago about doing a book on the War and they said that "niche" books don't sell well. This coming the guys who publish a book on Cathar castles.

One gets the impression that at Osprey that any book not about World War 2 is a niche book…

Totally ace. C'mon, Nuno – more figures, please?!!

(Actually, I'm working on a second Paraguayan unit and have 3 more to do, so take your time :) )

How about the REAL Triple Alliance? Lots of Jaguar and Eagle warriors, Otomitl, Cuachicqueh, White Ghost Warriors, armed priests, Huaxtec fanatics, etc, etc….The period isn't getting the exposure it needs, especially for people who already have Spaniards in 10mm!

That's it? I have both sides for the Battle of Tuyuti at 1 stand = 150. Plus plenty of other figures because, well once you start it's hard to stop!

One of my favorite books on the armies of the War is Foundry's book by Terry Hooker. Unfortunately, no color plates but otherwise an outstanding resource.

Hi Giles,

I'm working on more figures but new releases will depend on time and finances. :D

Well, more dead stock for my store!

"Borders of Blood is a well-presented set of wargames rules, specifically for Wargaming the Parguayan War of 1864 – 1870, dovetailing almost exclusively with the War of Triple Alliance figure range by Perry Miniatures.

Rulesets can either offer something so intriguing, inspiring, or unique that they cause you to venture into a new period – think SAGA, Sharp Practice, or Frostgrave – or they offer a service to gamers who are already ‘into' a period or conflict. Borders of Blood is definitely a solid entrant in this latter category."
