Fine work, hope to see again more Calpe prussian.

They look great! Think the Prussians have the overall best looking artillery of the Napoleonic era.

Well they did use a nice shade of blue…if we believe what we see on 21st Century modelling that is. A very nice shade I admit.

Is it just me? They were economically constrained. They had better things to think about, than pretty uniforms (like being more effective as artillery in landing more bangs for a buck……not sure they did that in the end)…but the best looking?

NAW. Calpe figures are great, I admit. But, painted, they are still a dull bunch, compared with French Ligne or Garde, Polish (see Murawski's latest), Saxons (See Westfalia), DB HA, even British/Hanoverian/KGL (see Perrys), Bavarian (Perrys to come)…..I have not even mentioned Russian or Austrian.

The Prussians were generally the dullest unit of the Nap Wars. Bless them, they had their priorities right……never mind the quality of the kit, feel the firepower!

Even then, not the best of the bunch, but effective enough.

I agree deadhead, kind of boring to paint as well. Now French or Austrian lancers are fun to paint. The Prussian blue guns do look nice though.

You are a machine!

Great painting!!!

Thanks paulalba, I have to be: the anniversaries of Waterloo, Ligny, and Wavre are coming up next year.
I have 350 figures painted only about 450 more figures to go.

Just for information The Auld Minis ter above is a real machine when it comes to painting. In the past he was a professional painter, but has since retired his brush for hire.
