Hi all, I have been making some 1/300th scale terrain for my Cold War armies, but I wanted to make it so that I knew when the troops were in cover. I made the "footprint" of the houses large enough to fit a stand in the garden. That unit is now considered to be occupying the house.
I also made removable trees in woods that could hold a unit or two. The centre of the wood is clear, but on the table it looks dense enough to be believable.
Hope you guys like the terrain. Comments and crits welcome. kropotkinspage.wordpress.com |

That is a great solution. I am going to adopt it for my 3mm moderns. I don't know why I had never thought of doing houses with an attached "garden" to hold a stand of troops. For industrial and commercial buildings the parking lot could easily serve the same purpose. Easy enough to turn the building to show a stand of troops next to but not in the building if that is ever necessary. |
