TSATF suggest a senior induna for every two Zulu units. Did senior indunas have any specific shield patterns? Thanks. |

I do know that the senior regiments normally have white shields with one small black patch on it. That would stand out as a nice marker for Indunas and if the regiment is a senior (old men) regiment a black shield with a white patch would look good. Maybe not correct but looks good. Cheers |

I did my senior Indunas with the same shield color as their regiment. All the senior Indunas are mounted. But I have six 61 man Zulu regiments plus another 20 odd Zulus for my impi. It's all based on Mick in Switzerland's article about the different Zulu regiments. Blake |
