We played the first playtest of some Sci-Fi rules I have working on tonight. Interesting game, want something that will do for big skirmishes with a variety of forces…

Depot 79 and the surrounding area. Three forces converge of the depot, each with three individual objectives and core central objective that all three can capture. Capturing enemy objectives causes that faction to draw a morale chit like in Battlegroup… But capturing one of your own allows you to discard a chit.

Merc recon cars advance ahead of the Lagunan insurgent forces…

TTF Drop Troop Mechs arrive early and head direct for the centre of the depot…

They are supported by Drop Troopers in their heavy powered armour…

Lagunan PDF Battle Tank takes pot shots at the insurgents on the tree line…

Well equipped insurgents moving up with droid support, most of the insurgents were more poorly equipped…

Mercs in the employ of the insurgents take the Depot generator facility…

Lagunan PDF troopers take cover…

The Drop Troop commander arrives and begins taking direct control of the battle, but fails to whistle up fire from a supporting orbital battery…

One of the Drop Troopers tries to revenge his fallen comrades but goes down to the blast of a Mercs Plasma Carbine…

Drop Troopers in Assault armour head down the main road in the Depot sweeping the buildings with fire…

Lagunan PDF tank puts a round through a mech at very close range!

What kind of ship is that in the middle of the table?
That's a beautiful table and all your models are very nice.

What kind of ship is that in the middle of the table?
Kitbash. I see parts from an A10, two AH64s, and maybe a CH53…

Great stuff, Piers! Glad to see you like our models so much. By the way, would you please drop me an email? I can't for the life of me dig up your email address….

Jon, they are easy to love… lots more to come too.

15mm sci-fi is our next big thing… alongside the figures will be a ruleset themed to existing ranges – atleast thats my excuse to buy lots! Oh and scenery. One of the playtesters wantsa starport to fight around!

khurasanminiatures17 Aug 2014 10:59 a.m. PST

Cheers Redroom, the mercs are the GOTA Clans from the Zantin Reconquest range and the PDF battle tank is the Federal Army Samson medium tank. Will have the store opened in the next few days, have tons of stock that came in whilst I was away and also lots of orders backed up to catch up on….

Piers, thanks for being in touch, sent a response with a proposal.

May wanna send it again… nowt come through.

The GOTA figures are stunners. Personally think they are the nicest human figs in 15mm, nice poses and weapons. Got a bunch more half done, thimk they may form some sort of recce or air insertion force for the game.

Check your spam bin piers, it was sent, and resending it might just send it to spam again. grin

Cheers for your GOTA comments.

Any luck piers? I re-sent it but it looks like your mail account thinks I'm spam. I feel a bit judged. grin
