"In the old days the Troops section was the real meat of the book. This was, of course, due to only Troops being scoring units (well mostly at least). If you're taking a Combined Arms detachment there's still some call for them to take advantage of Objective Secured but in a faction specific detachment they're less of a necessity. Indeed, if anything they feel like a tax you have to pay to be able to start taking some of the good stuff. This was never the case with the old SW book as you wanted to take plenty of Grey Hunters since they were frankly awesome. I've been a W40K player for 18 years, but lately I have been losing interest in the game. I used to buy all codexes, even those for factions I didn't collect. It's not the price what it is driving me out from the game, though. It's… I don't know… the silliness of the concepts, I think.

My son and I have been using Tomorrow's War for our W40K games, and truth be told, we are enjoying them more than those taken using GW's official rules.

That is because Tomorrow's War was written by individuals who know how to write a set a rules.

While 40K is being written by idiots who have no clue on how to write anything.

What is with the DragonBall Z hairdos…never-mind, I should not even ask. This stuff has jumped so far over the top of the shark, flying dumpsters, four foot claws, 80s big hair…, I don't see any point in it anymore, at least not for myself.

*insert GW bash*

+1 Der Krieg. What's w the hairspray? The extra ornaments on the armor look good. I afraid to ask which organ GW wants for them So, 3rd edition anyone?

I'm fairly certain that some of the the hair styles are meant to emulate Gallic warriors.
