Does Old Glory plan to release Cav or Artillery for their 28mm ACW Second Edition? Also was any of the first edition done by the same sculptor?

I heard that they were going to do Artillery, but it was a while ago. I think Chris did some of the 1st edition also, but I can tell you that they are a little bigger than the 2nd edition figures, which match up perfectly with Chris's own line of figures, "Sash and Saber".

Go with sash and saber. He is the same sculptor and he has a lot of poses for cavalry and artillery.

Agreed, Sash and Saber for you cavalry and artillery.

As above. Sash & Saber will match up perfectly with your 2nd ed.

Will sash and saber also match with OG 1st edition?

Sort of. Old glory 1st edition ACW figures are a bit tall next to second edition old glory ACW and sash and saber, but I have some units of the 1st ed. Old Glory in their own unit on the table and they look fine.

I've used both 1st and 2d editions on the same table and army, but not in the same unit, and no one has ever noticed or said anything.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with my friends. I have both the OG 2nd Edition and Sash & Saber 25mm ACW figures. While both lines were sculpted by Chris Hughes and are beautiful figures, the Sash & Saber miniatures are superior, in my opinion. The bodies are thicker, and sculpted with more character and variety. The figures do mix together well on the table, but up close, I notice a big difference. Consequently, I've only sprinkled a few OG 2nd Editions into my largely Sash & Saber collection.

I use my bench grinder to bring down the base on the OG 1st editions and bit more hot glue under the Sash and Sabers elevating them slightly when basing and then cut down the bayonets on the OG 1st editions then a slightly reshaping with a file seems work out fine as long as the weapon (stock, barrel)lengths are the same.
