Been SO long since I made 28mm stuff!

Doing the trailer park for Sharknado at Hurricon.

I need to scratchbuild or acquire:

Lawn chairs

Beat up bicycles

Assorted trashed items like old cars and boats.

Bunches of beer cans

The rest I got covered, I can scratchbuild 'em. But lawn chairs? :O

Have a bunch of old Mega Minis trash cans and stuff.

Thanks.

Maybe a bit small but a start.

I'm guessing here:

Maybe use 2 paper clips and thin clear plastic for the slats. There are clear plastic semi-rigid baseball card holders (single card) that would possibly work.

Make one clip like a long thin U shape. The top of the U is the head rest, the bottom are the legs.

Make the other clip into a long thin U shape. The top of the U is the end of the seat that would touch your legs if you were sitting in the seat. Bend the legs so that they would be the same length as the other legs and mark where the intersection would be.

Reshape the clips to make the right proportions for the back and seat.

Glue the plastic on the part of the clips where someone would sit and cut to size. Mark off where the slats would be and paint them in. Using a thin black sharpie marker you should be able to make stripes look like a weaved (over/under) pattern.

Glue the pieces together.

You can probably use another curved end of a paper clip to make the arms.

Curious about other ideas.

Similar to my thoughts, Redroom, was thinking about soldering brass wire for the frame.

Ed, too small, but perfect for 15mm!

Yeppers, Chuck. I had all that stuff for years, then went to 15mm (and acquired/built all that stuff all over again).

Thanks. pretty much inspiration is what I need, so I can remember when I was beautiful at mass producing crap. :)

Forgot about the sculpey mattress poked with a coffee straw. LOL!

Quarterscale dollhouse furniture is also a decent bet for the lawn furniture. Once you find the chairs, there will be tons of other related crap to buy … er … important things to acquire to set the mood for your game.

Sometimes it's a bit pricey and it's a tad large for 28mm (regular scale dollhouse = 1:12, quarterscale = 1:48), but really no different than O scale train stuff.

This might help with some of the larger debris.

You jus git now!

BTW, his beer cans are just sections of dowel rod. Cut 'em out, glue 'em together, paint 'em silver.

But really top notch work.
