Found this while Googling DLD vehicles.

Taken from here link
The link is to a graphic designer's portfolio, so I wouldn't treat this as breaking news (especially since it's dated Oct 13), but felt some here would be interested.

Plastic kits would be great, but got to admit I'm not sure there's a large enough market to warrant such a huge investment. I'll happily buy this in resin/metal at any rate.

Well, good luck to those boys, because they gave me some decent vehicles to game with 10+ years ago.

These days 15mm SF has taken off in such leaps that I don't think the DLDs are all that special anymore. I think they'd be considered about middling. So a big investment in plastic moldmaking seems like a strange choice. I bought them then, but I don't think I'd buy them now, even if they're plastic.

I really love working with plastic, hope this works out

depending on price & postage might buy some. Got some resin ones when GZG sold some.

they are older designs, but those are decent looking vehicles in the above link.

I'm with Smelson on this one, back in the day they were a must have but on the current 15mm market not so much…

Armiesarmy15 Aug 2014 3:20 a.m. PST

Those are right up my street!

moonfleetminis15 Aug 2014 4:23 a.m. PST

Yh im liking these, had them "back in the day", like em now.
I will probably go for the kickstarter when it happens.

This has been floundering for the last couple of years.

I really loved the komodo series of vehicles. I have a bunch of 15mm and a couple 25mm.

ming3115 Aug 2014 8:43 a.m. PST

It is for a spoken of kick starter and his game " this is war" david dunn has a facebook page

leidang15 Aug 2014 9:01 a.m. PST

DLD still owes me money from back in the day for an order that was never delivered when he went under the last time. My advice is to stay well away from any kickstarters he is running….

War Monkey15 Aug 2014 9:02 a.m. PST

Well if they do a kickstarter, I'm in

TK 42115 Aug 2014 10:11 a.m. PST

leidang, someone else is bringing this line back, or at least trying to. Did you ever attempt to contact them (original owners) regarding your order?

I have about a dozen of his Komodo vehicles and variants, plus a couple tanks and scout vehicles. I hope they are able to get the OPFOR vehicles into production, as I was planning to order some back in 2005, before DLD imploded.

leidang15 Aug 2014 12:09 p.m. PST

I had about a years worth of back and forth with the original owner before he quit responding to my E-mails. An endless line of excuses (Weather is too hot to pour resin, no money for more resin, moving, health, new shop, items cast but no money to send via post, etc, etc, etc) and continuous promises to get me what I ordered even though I had long since bought replacements elsewhere. No willingness to issue me a refund… and no money to. It was not enough money for me to seek legal restituion, about $120. USD

If this is under new management, I would wish them well and recommend they consider a name change…. there are many other customers unhappy with DLD from "back in the day" that had their money stolen. I would argue enough that the DLD name will bring more animosity than benefit.
