The title says most of what I wish to say. The particulars are that I and a few friends put together a fair sized order through our local Games Store. That would be Borderlands Comics and Games in Greenville, SC. USA. The result was about 2% of the order was fulfilled.
This is really disappointing. I'm at a loss as to the reason for such abysmal customer service…
This is not the first time this has happened… It may very well be the last!

This mirrors my own experiences. I own a game store in the USA. I cancelled my business account with them because this happened multiple times with my customers. I would make an order and then almost none of it was fulfilled. After several of these experiences, I now tell my customers that they would be better served ordering direct from Warlord since I am unable to fulfill their requests. Direct ordering from them seems to get better results for consumers…almost makes me feel they are intentionally slighting retailers. It certainly makes me as a retailer not push or support their games. As a result, sales of their product locally have dropped since my store no longer supports events from them.

I had a similar issue with Battlefront/Gale Force Nine. I tried to order some of those terrain boxes, specifically the noxious pool. After several months of being told by the lcoal store that they were not available I approached the Battlefront rep at Historicon. He told me that he was interested in selling as much product as possible and that possibly the distributor or store hadn't paid their bills and that's why they couldn't get the product.

As I am certain this was not the case with the previous writer, perhaps Warlord just doesn't have the same interest in selling product as Battlefront does?

I can't believe that warlord games seems to have such varying standards when it comes to customer service. The few times I've had an issue with them its being sorted out brilliantly! So how come the good and bad are so far apart! I know Robby and he is a straight up guy, it sounds like he is frustrated with not being able to get the same service you would expect. Is Warlord Games a victim of its own success, Bolt Action is a massive success from what I can gather. A couple of times I've heard first hand on the phone how bolt action has taken off and they have being struggling to keep up with it. So hopefully Robby you will receive the fantastic service that Warlord are more than capable of delivering! and that as customers we all deserve!

This is not the first time this has happened

Warlord has always been good for me; but, my orders have been small.

What I've needed to do more and more lately is put DO NOT PARTIAL SHIP in order comments.

Maybe problems with them shipping abroad , but within U.K.- ordered book from them on Monday – arrived this morning .

I have had this problem ordering through distributors before. I attempt to order direct now and always place instructions "do not ship unless order is complete" in the comments. I have had too many projects in the past that I could not complete due to inability to purchase what I wanted.

I have always had great service ordering direct.

Rrobbyrobot13 Aug 2014 1:59 p.m. PST

The store we ordered from always orders direct. I thought otherwise at one time but I was wrong. I will forward the advice to instruct Warlord not to ship unless order is complete. Thanks.

@Rrobbyrobot,
This is unfortunate after your May 11 posting!

Something to consider with Warlord Games is that many of their metals selection are cast per order. While zero inventory manufacturing has its advantages in keeping materials costs down, it leaves you vulnerable if you have several big orders coming in at once.
Instructing them to hold the order until complete is a good idea.

As stated before, never had issue ordering direct. Always been full order and recieved within 10 days to the U.S. I like their specials and order quite often.

Try ordering them thru North Star (trade).
Nick & his band of soggy fellows are jolly helpful and nice to deal with.
The added bonus is that you can order other stuff he sells at the same time so you've less invoices to manage.

I'm the guy that organized the order for Robby at our local retail store. We were told we could anything on the website so I gathered up everybody's wish list, wrote it up got everyone to prepay (as Warlord said we had to prepay the order for stuff not on the trade list) and gave it to the store's order guy. He typed it up and sent it out. We got about 20% of anything off the trade list but no single troopers or weapon packs, only 1 plastic kit, no resin kits (not on the trade list)3 metal packs.

It strikes me as unfair of Warlord to provide the basic troops to retailers to get people into the game (about 1/month)but then due to poor service force customers to order directly from Warlord for new releases. By the same token older players (10+) are also forced to order direct from Warlord for new releases bypassing the retailer that provides us the space to play the game and further promote the game.

Now I understand Warlords growing pains issue but they really need to improve service to the retailers that support the game or they won't. I want to support my local shop and gaming venue but Warlord seems unable or unwilling to do so.

I have had good service in terms of delivery time. My problem arose when I had a miss cast piece on a Mark VI tank, photographed it sent that in on an eticket (whats wrong with e-mail !) Nothing back, ticket closed down with no reply, guys at Blitzkreig richer
