New Wargames store just opened in Poole, Dorest
Its called Entoyment and the address is :- 361 Ashley Road, Poole, Dorset
entoyment.co.uk

link
Its run by Peter Vallinski seen in the picture, who has boundless enthusiasm for Wargames and all associated things.
The store is 760 square foot in size and offers a range of miniatures to hobby collectors and gamers covering, Early War Miniatures and 20mmZone products.

Others include Perry Miniatuires, Warlord games, Saga, Jugula, Dead mans hand, army painter, vallejo, dust tactics, x-wing, sails of glory, flames of war, 4ground, osprey books, crossed lances, to name a few….
They do demo games during opening hours with 2 boards at the front for demo and another at the back of the store for the more hardcore gamers, and then in the evening they are going to be holding club nights after opening hours. The store can hold up to 10 tables with a shuffle around. We also have a dedicated painting area.
Whilst being very much like a Games Workshop shops in many ways it is a mission of Peters to concentrate heavily on the relatively quieter cousin in Wargaming….the historical side.

Peter told me "the hobby is as much about the education and learning about these explosive periods in history as it is about the fun of gaming. For that reason he is very keen to involve local schools and have already organised a Dunkirk veteran talk in store."

I personally think we should support this great enterprise and wargaming store as much as possible. We have all seen the demise of other stores selling war gaming products in the past. The kind of interactive store Peter has set up is great news for our hobby. Do try and drop in if you live or visit the area.

May have to pop along and visit, only two miles away :)
I go to Christchurch normally, but if traffic is good this would be closer :)

Fantastic to see a new store – it deserves to do really well. Shame I live at the opposite end of the country because its just the sort of thing gamers need to support. Peter's ethos is spot on. Oh and I love the name.

I'm tempted to move to the UK, which seems to be the table top wargaming mecca of the world. We do not have stores like this in the USA

Looks Like a bloody good show!
I was born and lived my first 3 year in Bournemouth just down the lane from Poole. Parents sailed the family off to American. Started wargaming very early on with plastic Britons figures. A wargamer ever since.
Next trip home will bloody well include a stop by the shop.

Really?! I was under the impression it was the other way round with Americans constantly referring to their FLGS. Stores like this were few and far between in the UK even when I was growing up, although in those days every town had a toy shop selling Airfix kits and figures. As for metal ranges though it was mail order mostly. I do remember visiting the Minifigs factory back in the 70's which was in the red light district of Southampton!

I like the way this man thinks…
