Despite the age and scarcity of these rules, I have managed to source Great War and also Over The Top – and also managing to get some of my fellow club members interested.

Is there an online group that any one can point me to for more on playing this rule set?

Interested in scenarios, points for other theatres etc. if such a thing exists?

Like to know the same thing myself. Wish I had bought the rules when I had the chance. Now they are going for lots of $$$$.

With a few small modifications they are also quite good for Boxer Rebellion.

May want to try contacting Your Hobby Place in Martinsburg, WV.
yourhobbyplace.com

They are in an out of the way place but carry a crazy diverse amount of stuff. They had a copy or two of Great War when last I visited and that section didn't seem to shift much stock.

Owners are super nice couple. May convince them to mail order it to you for a lot less than ebay gouging. Just a thought.

Closest thing would be Rob Broom's Scarab Miniatures forum. At one point he was working on a new version of the Great War rules under the Scarab name.

Try wabforum.co.uk

There used to be some fuzz, and maybe there still is.
I didn't check for some weeks…

stecal, many thanks, yes we are working on some Great War rules, and indeed the latest news and reports can be found here link

The Scarab forum welcomes discussion on any Great War rules including Great War and Through the Mud and the Blood, and indeed we still play Great War occasionally at our local club (Iron Acton, Nr Bristol – UK) So if you do have any questions, its a good place to visit (the forum, and if you are local – the club!).

wabforum does have a Great War section, but I think I am the only one who has posted anything in about a year, certainly the last 6 months!

kind regards

There also some WW1 Through the Mud & the Blood discussion on the Too Fat Lardies forums here: toofatlardies.co.uk/forum

Even if you are not interested in the TFL rules the M&B rulebook and Stout Hearts & Iron Troopers Sceanrio Book are great resources for historical tactics and platoon level scenarios

I didnt realise the Great War was worth so much. I only ever read it once, time to put it on ebay perhaps

I have both Great War and Over the Top rules sets and never use them. I should sell them I guess.
