I'm sure this as been asked and answered before, but I'm new to the TMP. I would like to start wargaming the Crusades and was wondering who makes a kit or model that would work for the period. Would any European castle work for the Middle East? Any help would be appreciated. |

Maybe Zvezda? They make 1/72 which wouldn't be TOO far out of range. It might be nice to have the extra space… |

There are plenty of nice castle models around as I'm sure others will indicate. The problem is that there are few rules that work well for sieges. |

I'd like to get one in 6mm, which would at least fit onto my table! But I posted a query recently, and nobody answered. |

Look at Magister Militum's Battleground range, it has several 15mm castles. |

I think it may have been none other than T E Lawrence who determined that the Crusaders brought European designs to the Holy Land as opposed to bringing mid-east desings to Europe. So I would say, if you can find a 15mm European castle from around the same period, you should be good to go. Bob |
