I came by this figure by chance recently, she was gifted to me along with a pile of over 70 x 28mm metal figures. I decided it would be fun to use her with my AWI's, she was a bit the worse for wear and needed repainting but I think she turned out well. I gave her a tricorn and a Liberty flag. I guess she is now pretty unique? Cheers, Lee. Before the paint job:

Very unique I suspect the Virginia gentlemen commanding much of the Continental Army would find her a bit risque, but the troops would love it! |

Yes, I'm sure the figure would be far more dignified had she not been revealing her breasts! Just a bit of fun of course :-) Lee. |

Interesting figure… Do you have any idea who made her? |

I think the miniature was inspired by this painting: link |

The figure is from the Wargames Foundry "Wars of the French Revolution" line. |

I am pretty sure Washington would have her drummed out of camp. :) |

tkdguy, Good pointing out the origin of the image. While I think most of us are aware of the image, and its origins, it's probably wise to point it out so that we aren't mistake for a bunch of pervs (I mean that seriously, lots of people these days seem utterly unaware of what to many gamers, are obviously historical references). |

You can see why she was a symbol of the French Revolution rather than the American. |

Shes finished now! Added burn holes to the flag, cords from twisted cotton and the final touch ….. a pink cockade. All in the spirit of fun, no bad taste intended :-)I'll get back to painting more soldiers. Completed figure (and yes, I know that pink was not considered a feminine colour in this period). Cheers, Lee

That gal's been working out -- hoisting the colors overhead in one hand, while brandishing a bayoneted musket in the other! The cocked hat is a nice touch! |
