We've been playing Pulp Alley for several months now, so have decided to add a section to our hobby pages devoted to it, as we are big fans. We are planning to have some painting articles, after action reports, modelling articles and scenarios. To kick off we have a League, Defenders of the Hidden Way that my son Lewis has used with some success recently to thwart the scientific explorations of my Royal Archeological Society and Ann's Old Riponians. I hope the character cards will be useful to you all in your own games. Click here for our first Pulp Alley page. wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/Pulp-Alley-28mm-Pulp-Adventure-Gaming |

Yes, Character and League cards for Royal Archaeological Society (RAS) have now been posted and any one who is interested should be able to download the cards to use themselves.
This is my personal League which I will be using in our Perilous Island campaign which we plan to start on Sunday, so you should see a bit more of these chaps in AAR's over the coming months. Where are the character cards for the "Old Riponians"? -- Jeff
|
Chris Abbey | 14 Aug 2014 2:10 a.m. PST |
Hi Jeff, Glad you asked… just posted them on to our web site this morning. Old Riponians.
This is my wife Ann's Pulp Alley League. Cards can be downloaded from : wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/Pulp-Alley-28mm-Pulp-Adventure-Gaming I have another two Leagues that have their cards made which I will be posting later in the week. These are the 'Tardis League' and 'Ze Germans'. These were in fact the first two Leagues that we played Pulp Alley with. We played the Trail of Clues scenario, set in the Jungle of a remote South American island as in a final desperate gambit in the closing hours of WW2 a crack German team is sent to discover the legendary beacon that will summon the Cybermen to realize the crazed alliance that had been planned to reverse the Third Reich's demise. Luckily for humanity help was at hand! |

Ann's all girl league looks great. Who makes that Charity miniature? I hope you share more of your leagues. -Mila

Hi Mila, What you got to release is they are all girls, but they don't always act like ladies. In our last game Ann's girls started the shooting, rushed one of my characters and used a fortune card to wrestle the objective off him and shot a man when he was down! Charity is from Blue Moon 1920's civilians boxed set, which has loads of great figures for pulp gaming. We are busy working on Terra Blocks, universal terrain. I believe a set is in the post to you and your Dad. Here's a picture of our latest Terra Block set up.
Expect to see a set of League Cards for the good Dr shortly. More photos of this in our gallery at : wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Terra-Blocks/Terra-Block-Gallery |

Hi Mila, Your Terra-Blocks have been dispatched today. Look forward to hearing what you make of them!
Last night we played the second scenario from your Perilous Island campaign book. Awesome product by the way, I hope there will be a long line of campaign books to keep us going! Full AAR at : wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/Pulp-Alley-28mm-Pulp-Adventure-Gaming |

Very cool! Final Flight is still one of my favorite Pulp Alley scenarios. I think it was the first scenario with the 'Red Herring' rule and that is always good for a laugh. Even with the 'Wanted' rule, someone always resorts to shooting or brawling, its just a question of how long they'll wait. I'm hoping Dad can finish the Vice Alley campaign book before the end of the year. It's going to be amazing. -Mila

Yesterday we played the third scenario from Perilous Island campaign, 'At Deaths Door'.
This see's our intrepid heroes in Athens, in the dead of night breaking into a secure government storage facility in search of clues as to the whereabouts of the elusive Lord Darrow.
A great time was had by all, another exciting scenario that could have gone either way, right down to the last dice roll. This was the first game that we have played using the new Loadng Bay, Wooden Ramp and Floors. Over the last couple of weeks we have added two playtest Pulp Alley, Vice Alley play test reports to our Pulp Alley Hobby Pages. The first game we played was 'A Social Affair'. In this the guns and fists are put away and polite conversation is the order of the day as you try to influence the city's movers and shakers.
In Crime Wave the guns and fists are definitely out as all sorts of crime and anti-social behavior is going on down town. Their is a full report with loads more photos of both games on our Pulp Alley hobby pages at : link and you can now follow us on Facebook at : facebook.com/sally4thgames |

Great looking Pulp Alley AAR. Where did you get those cool sidewalks and streets? Dave Pulp Alley |
Chris Abbey | 28 Sep 2014 9:47 a.m. PST |
Hi Dave, glad you liked the report and the terrain. The sidewalks and streets are all Sally 4th products, they have been in our catalog for a couple of years now. We have straight road, half straight, quarter straight, 45 degree bend, cross roads and T junction. We also do them in 10mm and 15mm scale. I designed them because I did not like the way that other road systems I had brought got knocked apart during play, so these have been designed with a jigsaw like joint, hidden under the sidewalk that keeps all the road sections locked together.
