Here we go for a 4th time. Colonial Barracks IV is fast approaching (Nov. 7-8-9) and as usual I have verbal commitments but now we need it in writing.

Our theme is "Two Battalions of Marines" to commemorate the establishment in 1775 by the Continental Congress of the United States Marine Corps. This theme provides a wealth of historical theaters for you to choose from:

Barbary Pirates – "The Shores of Tripoli."
War of 1812 -Battle of New Orleans
Caribbean, Falklands, Sumatra and coastal W. Africa (protecting American interests)
Seminole Indian Wars – 1814 – 1818, 1835 – 1842, 1855 -1858
Mexican War 1846 – 48 "The Halls of Montezuma"
American Civil War 1861 – 65 (a battalion at Bull Run, with the Navy at Cape Hatteras, New Orleans, Charleston and Fort Fisher)
Spanish American War 1898
Philippine Insurrection
Boxer Rebellion
Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico and Haiti
World War I 1917 – 1918
World War II 1941 – 1945
And more not listed

Remember it doesn't have to be just a Colonial or USMC themed game; Larry's other rules are applicable as well. All I need at this point is the time you want, your game scenario and name, what scale and how many players. Once again, we'll have 3 sessions per day (9AM – 1 PM, 2 PM – 6 PM and 7 PM until closing). Let's try to get our PEL up in record time this year, ok?

Colonial Barracks IV will be held from November 7 – 9, 2014 at the Sheraton Metairie/New Orleans. Room rates are still $ 99/per night. The hotel site and convention registration can be found at this link:

Again, we appreciate the continued support from everyone, even more so this year as Dad has recuperated from his fall/broken leg. He's really looking forward to the convention. We'll say it again, Colonial gamers are a unique breed in our hobby. As usual, please contact me with any questions; we hope to see many of you in November as we wargame and raise awareness for CJD.
