I had been working on this flying egg for some time and was hoping to finish it in time for my last topic, but I could not. Anyway, it is mainly made up of four parts: an Easter egg, the motor housing from a Zoids Gustav, the main part of a GI Joe Flight Pod, and the jet piece which is also from the GI Joe Flight Pod.
The build is on my blog at otherworldminiatureslab.blogspot.com/2014/07/an-egg-flyer-inspiration-i-have-lot-of.html. Thanks for looking. |

That is very nifty. Kind of like a Sci Fi Guppy transport. |

Looking good, the shapes work well together, please show us the finished ship when painted. Cheers |

Love it. Will you be making the mother(hen)ship too? Please excuse the weak joke, I really do like the vessel! |

Wow! I had absolutely no clue about the Robin Williams news when I made my comment yesterday. |

TwinMirror, I have limited options so do the mother(hen)ship…here are the options I have:
. If you have an idea, I would be more than happy to try to execute it. But thanks to Garrison Miniatures, I have some nice bird aliens to use. Riverbluff Wargames, I don't think that you could possibly have known about it at the time. Sometimes, coincidence is just coincidence. |

Oh man, that is just awesome. You totally came through on the mother(hen)ship! The bird on the right would make a very nice manga-style robo-vessel. The hen segments would make a muppetastic mothership, with the addition of some big, cheap 1/35 scale cargoplane, maybe with some salt and pepper shakers for giant boosters or something. What are the bird aliens form Garrison? Iwent to look through their catalogue, but currently it isn't working! |

TwinMirror, I don't know if they make them amymore. I purchased mine in the early 1980s and then I think that George Lucas filed a lawsuit against them because of the Star Wars thing. I had seen somewhere that they were making some of their stuff, but I thought that it was mainly their fantasy and historical lines. |

Hi TMV, I checked back at Garrison again, and read some rather sad news: looks like he's winding down business, and will soon close the website; after that he'll be running it from a blog. I guess he's been in the business for a long time now and deserves to enjoy some rest! The statement reads: "21 July 2014 Gmail account As part of my general rundown of Garrison I've created a new Gmail account, garrisonminiatures@gmail.com. From the end of November I will no longer be supporting either info@garrisonminiatures.com or the Garrison website – I'll probably start a blog instead. As far as Garrison itself goes, after the winter break, I will 'reopen' for orders in March for customers who have bought prior to 1st July 2014. Orders will be restricted to ranges previously bought except for the couple of people who have already arranged different agreements. I will keep this option open until at least the summer break in 2015, possibly until the winter break in 2015. My wife and son have both basically said that I would be mad to sell Garrison – actually, so have a number wargaing friends and customers – so I will not be selling the ranges. I will also be retaining all copyrights and trademarks so Garrison will NOT be going into the public domain." |
