Recently, on the advice of Meeples & Miniatures, I bought, read, and loved the new Sword & Spear rules from Polkovnik Productions. Over the last 8 days, I assembled and primed a box of Perry Bro's Plastic Mercenaries European Infantry (WR20). I've painted 12 of them so far, 9 pikes and 3 crossbows. Then I based them on 20mm square bases with magnet bottoms. Today I made 5 movement trays with MDF and sheet metal, and put some magnets on the bottom of those. 60mm frontage, 40mm deep for crossbows and men at arms, and 60mm deep for pikes (since they are a "large" unit). I also made a measuring stick, with 10 30mm increments (half of the 60mm frontage).
