With my FOW and OG models I use super glue. Should I use super glue on these? I was thinking about using testors model glue because they are all plastic. Also, do they need to be washed with soap and water before painting? Thanks |

I use Testors brush on glue on PSC. Works well. Haven't washed anything, but I suppose it couldn't hurt. |

Washing removed the residue oil-based release agent. It is not necessary if you prime with enamel, but crucial if you use a water base primer. |

Save yourself some problems and use plastic glue. No need to wash. |

Do NOT use super glue unless it is specifically made for plastics! It will not hold. Testors is a much better alternative. |

Model Master as well. In black plastic bottle with a terrific applicator. I always wash my kits with warm water and dish washing soap. Rinse and then let air dry. May not be a necessity but doesn't hurt! |

I prefer ordinary plastic liquid glue. But I have to say that i find some of the PSC kits very fiddly and difficult to construct. |

But I have to say that i find some of the PSC kits very fiddly and difficult to construct. Really? Can't say I have found that with any of the PSC models I have built – quite the reverse actually. |

But I have to say that i find some of the PSC kits very fiddly and difficult to construct. You obviously haven't tried any 1/72 kits by UM Models or Dragon…….. |

But ICM is very nice. You obviously haven't tried any Ace models ;-) |

I use super glue on mine, along with pretty much all other hard plastic kits without issue. I've built a lot of their kits in 1/72 (infantry, guns, and vehicles), and didn't find them difficult at all. |

As super glue (unlike plastic glues) does not produce a solvent join it is not really the best thing to use on plastic kits, unless you think you might like to take them apart again later ! |
