You should find another basing method for these figs. The gravel can work for armies in the field, but these call for something slicker. But the figures are very nice, better than I would have done. |

That's how I'm 'flocking' my table in the near future. I can always add some spots of green grass later, if the mood strikes me. You may be right that these two need something a little slicker. Their legs are a little skinny to be pinning them to a base. I could mold green stuff around the cast-on base to smooth it out flat. What direction would you take it? |

I'd smooth it out with the green stuff. In future, or if these will come off the base readily, you could try cutting a piece of sheet plastic to fit the base and a hole cut for the figure's base. It would still require some filling, but there are plastic sheets with patterns/textures that would work for interior flooring. e.g. A tight grid could be painted to look like checkerboard floor tile patterns. I admit, I haven't tried that. I mostly do 28mm, so I have more footprint to work with. |
