Finally I am getting around to basing and adding lances and pennons to the Empress Miniatures figures that I had painted by Prince Bishop Painting. Three down 12 to go. The Afghan gun in the background is sitting on a wall section from the Alamo that Hudson and Allen makes. I bought it as a single piece years ago and have finally found a use for it.

Very nice work, Bob! Love the buildings.

Wow, shocked I missed this earlier, Bob, very nice indeed!

I used similar -- though not quite so nice -- Wargames Foundry Zulu War 17th Lancers to serve as my 9th Lancers in Afghanistan. Since Empress came out with your version I've had ordering a unit's worth of them on my "to-do" list, but haven't got around to it yet. Hopefully thanks to you I'll now be inspired to go get some for myself…

They are a little bit fiddly with having to attach the heads and rifles but come out very nice in the end. I attached wire lances instead of the ones they supply as theirs are soft metal and bend quite alot.

All 15 based now with lances and ready to go.
