I'm looking for a John Carter-type big battles game, element-based, and about 150 figure per side. Emphasis is on fun, scenario-based Martian vs. Martian games.

Martian Empires seems to fit the bill, but I really want to use the Bronze Age Green Martians.

So the questions –
1. Would an 8' x 4' table be big enough for a two-person game in 28mm?
2. Would 150 figures per side be a good size for a two-person game?
3. My game time is about 2 hours – would Martian Empires be a good choice?

Thanks!

Hey Lucius,
I think the answer would be yes on all
3 questions.
I would suggest 6 Green Martians per unit (1 per base)
and maybe 12-18 per Red Martian unit. (2-3 per base)
The game plays pretty fast, and movement can be quick as well.
On a 8x4 table I would stay with the cm as is. So foot 20cm, greenmen 30cm.
