"Guns of August Show 2014" Topic

Only two weeks to go till our annual end of summer extravaganza held in Williamsburg, VA! Come one, come all to the finest little show on the east coast, at least between the Maryland and North Carolina borders!

Now that you've recovered from Historicon, the kids have started back to school, and you're wondering what to do with yourself. Get away for a weekend of fun and gaming with your friends, and do some sightseeing in the Historic Triangle! What better way to spend the last weekend of summer before Labor Day! Do you really want to spend the weekend cutting grass, or sorting through the mountain of lead wondering what to do?

Looking to pick up some of those items you forgot to buy at Historicon? We have a wide selection of vendors who will probably have everything you're looking to round out your needs!

So come on down to "Guns of August" where we offer nice comfortable gaming rooms, a Board Game room full of free games to play, an FOW Tournament, and a great selection of miniature games all weekend long! Updated PEL is posted (August 11, 2014)!! Final PEL will close out this coming Sunday, so if you're still wondering about a game submission you would do well to submit it promptly!! I believe Saturday afternoon slots are already full, but there is still room for evening and a few slots open for Friday!! So don't dither!!

Is there a definitive vendor list available? An earlier thread listed 8. A few weeks ago the website listed 17 vendors. Now it lists 9.

What's the word?

The earlier list was from our winter convention, the Williamsburg Muster and should have been removed. Whatever is on the PEL now is the vendor list. Unless of course there is a late addition or two.

Vendors set up and all set for you tomorrow and the weekend.

Another successful GoA. For a small, local con, the vendors were diverse and offered a full spread of goods, including most of the recent releases from the major lines. Much pesos left my hands this weekend.
Played my first Game of Bolt Action, noted its easy adaptability for other eras, and bought it.
My only concern is the same as previous years: really need to see more advertising of this event. I think we could draw 50-100 more visitors with a few local adds.
Again, always enjoy this con and hopefully sooner or later will try to take a more active role!
