Will have to hit the books and have a look. Specific date in mind or just general Westies?

french lancers as chevaux leger lancier de la garde westphalia-Possible but depends on date as they were de-lanced. The French types dont have plumes true if it really important ( and probably not worn on campaign) I can let you have pre made plumes for you to glue on yourself.

westphalian hussares or jerome hussares- standard French kit only elite companies in colpacks

westphalian cuirasiers- were dressed and equipped as per standard French dress
Westphalian gardes du corps- use the DBC 1A Belgian Dragoons. The surcoat is for parade dress only.

Leon,

Except that Westpahlian cuirassiers had a helmet similar to that of French carabiniers.

Well my sources ( Knotel) says standard French style helmet and armour to begin with but you are right they did switch to catapilar crest certainly by Boridino. In which case FNC 8B
Given the way sources differ I expect to find one that says they had zebra saddle cloths one day…………
Well spotted Flecktarn.

plenty of very good sources on the net as

Suhr, Sauerweid and Pihnas on Napoleon-online.de

Otherwise also try the ASK Brown collection.

@LeonAdler

Can you tell me where Knötel is states that initially they started with a French curiassier style helmet??

danikine7419 Aug 2014 7:38 a.m. PST

I will write you soon.

Knotel certainly shows the Dutch Cuirassier [Kingdom of Holland], in French style helmet:

But, according to Knotel, the Westphalians seem to be in the caterpillar crested style helmet:
