Can anyone explain to me why old glory maintains two websites with the same product lines? oldgloryminiatures.com oldglory25s.com Even more perplexingly why are there so many miniatures that are not pictured on one site, but are pictured on the other? I entirely see the value of having one website with different catchy domain names that forward there, but why 2 websites each with only part of the line pictured? It's hard enough to find decent pics for certain miniatures on their site, why are they putting in the effort to maintain two websites? Just venting a bit. I've picked up a few packs of their figs at conventions and they seem like nice folks and I like the figs, but the website situation is simply ridiculous. |

Only 2? I also thought there was a separate site for 15mm, and perhaps a fourth. |

I think one is the manufacturer's website, and the other is an exclusive reseller. Damon. |

PM sent, but yes, they're separate companies. |

Old Glory 25s is the actual OG site-- the other Is an independent retailer of OG products and has more pictures, but I have read many a post about them ripping people off. Of course it's been a while so maybe they have cleaned up their act… |

Interesting. Thanks for clearing that up. My mistake. Which one is the group that comes to Little Wars? The Old Glory army applies to both though, Yes? Anyone have an recent reports as to which is more reliable? |

Old Glory 25s is the parent site. Can't get more reliable than them. |

olfglory25's is the one that goes to Little War and all the conventions. The orders and the emails to oldglory25s go directly to Old Glory. Old Glory 15's is an independent company. It was purchased from Old Glory over 15 years ago and is owned and operated by 19th Century Miniatures. |

OG 15s wasn't part of the question, really, but it's good to clear that up as well. This page on the Old Glory dot com web site explains it all best-- link I would order only from OG 25s, though, just to be safe. |

Every time I see the words 'Old Glory' I'm reminded of that Vlad Tepes Romanian army I've been meaning to buy and build for over 10 years, but have never got round to it. One day… |

Mr. Nazrat, I would like to see the "many posts" with regards to either OG site "ripping people off" ?? regards Russ Dunaway |

the difference is, that one site has almost none pictures and the other has only bad pictures of figures |

They have never ripped anyone off. Sounds like false rumors. |
Todd636 | 07 Aug 2014 4:35 a.m. PST |
I don't think I have ever heard a story about them ripping people off. Certainly not "many". They frequent the forums and are quick to answer questions. |

Me and my friends ordered from Old Glory 25's many times and NEVER had any problems. I must admit though that I am visiting Old Gory Miniatures website with photos first and buying from Old Glory 25's next. Also, since we are on the topic, always had positive experience buying from Old Glory 15's. They improved their site by adding photos. |

I've also ordered from both Old Glory 25's and 15's and have always had excellent service. OG 25's even took the time to give me detailed answers on how to complete one of their pirate ships! They are a great outfit. Having said that, I'll agree (sotto voce), that more and higher quality photos on their website would be really helpful. |

He may be referencing Warweb not Old Glory, IMHO. Old Glory's rep is stainless. So, it must be Warweb. Thanks, John |

I just wanted to second the comments above: I've ordered many times from both OG and OG 15s, and have always had prompt, efficient, and courteous service. Warweb is another story of late… -- Hans |

I also had no problems ordering with OG 15s. Fast delivery and good communication. |

Not knowing the difference between the two, I started out buying from the oldgloryminiatures.com marketing company in Georgia. While they sell the same figures, I was not impressed with customer service (slow to fill orders, do not pick up the phone when you call … you have to leave a message, etc.). Once I learned about the factory site in Pennsylvania (oldglory25s.com), I began ordering from them. Why use a middle man when you can buy right from the source? Every order has been filled quickly and I rate their customer service A++! They are friendly, and quick to listen if you have a special request when you call. If you check their on-line catalog, you'll see they carry more products than the outfit in Georgia, and lately have been running special deals too. As for the absence of photos of products, its always a good idea to check out the message boards on TMP. If you make a request, you'll find fellow gamers are more than willing to share some pics of their OG25s. As an aside, I've order lots of miniatures from the now unaffiliated OldGlory15s in Michigan. I've always had very quick and dependable customer service from them. And yes, they also pick up the phone when you call. Their Battle Honors 25mm figures are sturdy. On the other hand, their 15mm Old Glory's can be brittle and may arrive broken in the bag. Happy Wargaming! Don |
