I'll be attending what I count as my 31st Gen Con this year. Unfortunately, I've missed about five of them over the years for various reasons, but this year won't be one of them. I started attending back in 1978 at what was the fantastic University of Wisconsin – Parkside venue. Back then it was a small, about 5,000 attendee convention, and Parkside was perfect for it. Boy, I miss those days. But things change, and with over 49,000 attendees last year, Indy seems a pretty good place for it. |

I live nine miles from the con site, and I won't be going… My company has decided that "I am needed elsewhere"… "Job security" they say…. Last month, they sent me to Columbus the day AFTER Origins…. This month they send me to Columbus 3 days before Gencon begins… "Job Security" they say…. |

Started going to Gencon with Gencon II. With the number of Historical games so few will not go down to play. Even the SciFi is limited to just a few to select from Will go down on Saturday to checkout the exhibit Hall and go back home same day:( |
