I see that FoW has their WW1 variant, and chance we will see figures for Palestine campaign from Battlefront? I don't play FoW but would love the figures. |

Were there any big sexy tanks there and then? That is where you will find your answer. |

Some big sexy tanks used at Gaza but only the one battle. So I suspect no releases to come. However how does FOW cope with infantry only battles, I have never played it so would be interested in some expert opinion. |

No big sexy German Tanks, but the Turks did have some staff cars and big sexy armoured (well armed) trains – that might play well :) Or maybe a gun boat like those used by the Brits at Megiddo, that would be fun! Not even bothering with the rules but as Prince Albert mentioned I would enjoy the figs – mind you from what I have seen the Khurasan's WWI range is where I will spend my money for 15mm. |

For rules why not The Sword In Africa? |

Better TSATF variant would be "The Sword in Palestine" which is designed for WW1 desert operations. link And the British would have armored cars including the "sexy" Rolls Royce one. Plus you could have the Australian Light Horse! Jim |

Not too keen on TSATF, not even really concerned with rules at this point actually. Just hoping for a relatively complete range in 15mm for the Palestine campaign. Thanks gents! |

Their last video with WWI was mostly an infantry battle and from what I can tell the system works great with mostly infantry battles. So why not? YouTube link |

Also Model Ts fitted out with Lewis guns. Forerunners of the LRDG ;-) Robert |

If the current release does well It's likely you will, starting with Gallipoli. Despite the obsession with tanks the game plays very well without them. |

However how does FOW cope with infantry only battles, I have never played it so would be interested in some expert opinion. Works better as combined arms, IMO, but all infantry games are certainly possible/playable/reasonable. Italy if you're talking WW2. I'm hoping that the Battlefront guys put together a Gallipoli supplement/expansion/lists next year. Releasing it this year would make sense, but anniversary releases seem to get better attention in the press. |

I've played with both American and German infantry-heavy forces in FoW for WWII quite a bit. One platoon of Pak40s and a second platoon of Pak36s with Stielgranaten can do great things for you against Russians. Add a platoon of StuGs for added firepower and you're good. For WWI, you'd be using MGs and Artillery instead to strengthen the force, but otherwise it is pretty similar. |
