We had a holiday here and I was busy in the build up to that and then catching up after it finished. Now I have a few things to show. These are four battalions of Elite miniatures Russian line infantry, Jaegers and Grenaders. They are based for In The Grand Manner. I am still sticking to the basing conventions set down decades ago by Peter Guilder, which were in line with the research on unit strength which he had at that time. The units are based in a 1:20 ratio. Having different nations with different number of figures makes for an interesting game. This is unrealistic a lot of the time. But he who plays with toy soldiers should not cast the first stone.
Here are another couple of units of Perry plastic Prussian line infantry. They come in boxes of 40 figures and six volunteer Jaegers, which I use as skirmishers. I normally have Prussians in units of 32. I could always use a base from each of these units towards another unit.

Really like your Elite Russians. They've got a endearing quality to them which I also couldn't resist and I'm painting some myself this afternoon. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Paul |
