Dear All I reference to previous entries: TMP link TMP link TMP link I have added the Monorail Packs to my site for sale:- link
Excuse the higher than my normal cheap price but they take an inordinate amount of time to cut. Other structures I might do are: a) Maintenance Shed; toying whether to have raised or use an angled up/down track to have it more ground level(ish) b) Light Cargo version of carriages – Replaces passenger area with squared off cargo pods for cab. c) Light Cargo Handling Stop Platform, including an open cargo lift, the lift platform hopefully would be placeable at different heights. D) some form of track switching set up. Plus anything else I can think of. Regards MMG [www.madmechaguy.co.uk] |

Very nice! Your station could easily do double duty as a modern (back to 1960s-70s) elevated train station. Something for a modern gamer to consider. |

Cargo versions sound real good to me. And I think the price is fair. And I really really hope you find a way to do these in 28mm!!! |

The prices are fair. I will definitely be ordering a few packs this fall. What would you recommend to hide the wood grain on these prior to primering/painting (futuristic in my mind would be smooth plastic panels or metal). I'm thinking Sanding Sealer or thinned PVA/wood glue? |

Bryan In my experience, MDF has no grain as such and – with a coat or two of decent primer beforehand – you'll have little idea what the base material was in the first place after painting. As a bit of a fan of monorails, I applaud this idea: well done MMG! John T |

These are so great… i'll need a pack too. And I agree with John T.. there won't be any grain to have to worry about. |

Dear Bryan From my experience MDF does not have wood grain, as is made from compressed wood dust/micro fibres, forms a largely smooth surface. The odd area can be a bit fuzzy but this is usually hidden by painting. Cleaning up requires sharp knife & very fine glass paper, as can get some flash on MDF when laser cut is not perfect. Might get the occasional feathering on edges which can be solved by using thin (and cheap) superglue and dripping some on edge, it soaks straight in reinforcing MDF. People recommend sealing MDF with watered PVA glue, or can use MDF primer as well. Handily can use household emulsion paints on MDF. Regards MMG. |

very nice stuff – are you going to do a 28mm version to? On my to buy list for 15mm already. |

28mm version is in the works, doing the basic carriage first as that is the difficult bit. Due to size issues may only do Stops instead of station. The station, if scaled, would be around 80-100cm long by up to 40cm wide, don't think that would fit on most tables. Have to think on it. Regards |
