Wow, those look amazing. I got well into two Napoleonic armies in 6mm (Baccus) but I'm having a hard time finishing them. The minis are great, but just aren't capturing my imagination like my normal scale, 10mm. Is it just me, am I weird? (not about 6mm specifically, just viewing a period as 'should be done in this scale, not the one I purchased'? Also, is Blucher out? V/R, Jack |

Very nice. You put a lot of detail into those little guys. |

Very Nice Steve! Not just you "Just Jack" I love the look of the masses of 6mm figures on the table but I burn out painting them. I have a touch of OCD and want to put the same level of detail on them as I do on my 15mm and 10mm figures. Then I get sick of them because it is such slow going. I've tried to tone down my detail because it shouldn't matter but I just can't do it. I'm going to try paying to have them painted by someone else to see if that will let me let go of the detail since they won't be "my paint". |

Leidang, "…but I burn out painting them. I have a touch of OCD and want to put the same level of detail on them as I do on my 15mm and 10mm figures. Then I get sick of them because it is such slow going." Do you know what? That is it exactly! I can't believe I didn't realize that. What do you do? I don't think I can stop painting that level of detail; no, not from the OCD (I'm a victim too ;) ), but I can't see having half of my guys with great detail and half not… "I'm going to try paying to have them painted by someone else…" For what it's worth, I did this once. The figures are absolutely beautiful, but I don't love'em. And I don't love'em because it feels like they're not mine because I didn't paint them myself. I know there are a lot of wargamers that get their figs painted and are happy with them. I have nothing against them, hell, I wish I could be one of them. But for some reason they just don't 'feel' right. I hope if you try it that it works out for you. Meanwhile, I have quite a bit of 6mm Baccus that I probably need to throw in the towel on and sell so that I can get moving on to Napoleonics in 10mm… V/R, Jack |

I get them them painted and them base them myself, that gives me the feeling of "ownership, and the time to make terrain, scenarioes, rules and campaigns |

I agree with Sparta – while I mostly paint my own stuff, I don't have the time to paint enough Napoleonics and if I can find someone to paint in a style that matches mine I am more than happy to buy painted figures but will always do my own basing. They still feel like mine as I have had some part in them – particularly as they are mixed in with those I have painted |
