Nice work. I've a healthy respect for Spartans but can never quite brink myself to like the nasty beggers. |

Nice work on those; the Xyston figs are nice to work with, aren't they? FMB |

Hi chaps, Thank you for the kind words. A friend gave me a few Xyston Greek skirmishers to try out. Lovely figures and very inspirational. Following on from this, I bought and painted this army and then some Thracians for a club DBA tryout. I very much enjoyed painting the figures and took a long time over them, building several highlights for each base colour. We didn't stay long with DBA however. Both armies now reside in a cabinet in the Dining Room ! I cannot bring myself to sell them – they took so long to paint ! A sad tale… Phil

They look really nice. Perhaps paint a few more and rebase for a different system? Simon |

The figures really look cool… nicely painted and great flocking of the bases.. |

I'd agree with BigRedBat, either rebase or make sabots for the ones you've got…and then get some more. |

Keep your eyes open for DBA3 which will treat your spears better, with flank support, no need to create double lines. |
