Just curious, sometimes one finds pin prick sized holes in cast figures and when drilling them out they turn out to have voids within, like a tiny cave system. Does anyone know what causes this, and is it likely to cause problems? Cheers in advance. |

I have seen it in a few metal castings, never seemed to cause any problems. |

If they are metal castings the metal was over heated. If they are resin the resin was mixed too fast and when poured not agitated/vibrated enough to bring air to the surface. |

Wasn't it common in Finecast models? |

No, the problem FC had was that the resin filled the holes…. ;-) |

Figures in question are metal. Too hot confirms my suspicions. Thanks for the info. |
