I like smaller WiGE (I really prefer the Russian term, ekranoplan) as the real 'flying tanks'. They might use a big blower to push air under the wings to speed takeoff, but once moving they're more like airplanes. |

My favorite WiGE of all time is the (West) German Lippisch X-114 from 1977:
I'd buy a model of the X-114, any scale, in a heartbeat. |
