Continuing this discussion TMP link , I found a suitable figure in the RAFM range: ASP, ASSASSIN. With not much extra work the figure's natural deluded look and Southeast Asian dress lent itself to a rendition of Jane. I plan on using her as a "commissar-like" character in a CSAR game set in North Vietnam, with the ability to spot an evading American airman faster than the NVA can, (due to chemically induced heightened senses). Which leads to the question: would Charlie Don't Surf rules work for something like this. link |

I remember my mother's comment on Barbarella: It's just as well she looks pretty, because she can't act to save her life. |

I'm liberal as Hell, but when I was taking massage classes and the instructor was showing Jane Fonda's exercise videos to help warm up my fellow students, I used to sit out in the hallway with the two Vietnam vets because a traitor is always a traitor. |

Coelacanth1938, I agree. Dan |

Personally, I'm rather fond of her role in Klute, though I can't quite put my finger on why.

Only on TMP are people actually still concerned about Jane Fonda. |

Never saw the fascination for her, now Jenny Agutter, that's another story! Weasel, I think, for some people, well beyond TMP's readership, 'Hanoi Jane's' actions and statements will never be forgotten. YouTube link And before I get put in the dog house again for making factual statements, which rules would be best to simulate Linebacker II? |

I think everyone is entitled to their own political opinions, aren't they? Well, they should be, anyway. |
Pyrate Captain | 09 Aug 2014 7:33 p.m. PST |
Really, the discussion was less about Jane Fonda (Even though I think of this person as something unpleasant I might find on the bottom of my shoe after a summer walk in the park), but more about my miniature conversion. |

Weasel pretty much in the community around any US military base you will find plenty who still intensely dislkie Jane. You would think the younger ones would not really care, as they where not even born yet. But not really so. They are not at all ready to forgive. owen |

Milites, 'Phantoms' seems to be pretty good for what you're looking for. It offers NVA ADA including SAMs, flak, et cetera, with some nicely developed ordnance mechanics. Best part- it's free. |

Very nice conversion! |

Everyone is indeed entitled to their own political opinions; it's called freedom of speech. The problem was with her actions. |

One of the many benefits of living in a democratic nation. |
USAFpilot | 12 Aug 2014 4:17 p.m. PST |
Your benefits where bought and paid for by the blood of patriots. Jane Fonda is a traitor not for her political opinions but what she did during the Vietnam conflict. |
Pyrate Captain | 18 Aug 2014 7:01 a.m. PST |
Thanks for the compliment on the conversion. The figure was fun to build. As a former SAC Trained Killer, Infidel and Yankee Air Pirate, my personal feelings about Ms. Fonda are accurately predictable, however, I didn't paint the figure to stir controversy. I merely wanted a villain to play a special character role in an Air Rescue game that is more about Sandy's and Jolly's than Jane. I am still soliciting advice on rules to use and I am looking favorably toward slightly modified Low Level Hell. I just haven't completely wrapped my mind around a spaceship game being the basis for ground forces yet. |

not totaly true. my father still hates her with a passion, and most of his age group as well. I was a teenager before I realized she had a normal last name. |
