"Nine years! It's been nine long years we've waited for a second Sin City movie, and now, in just three weeks we will finally have it. And judging by the three-and-a-half minute super trailer that came out of Comic-Con this week, our patience will be rewarded with all the shameful goodness Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez can throw at us. The gang's all here with a few minor adjustments. The dearly departed Michael Clarke Duncan is succeeded by Dennis Haysbert in the role of enforcer Manut, and Josh Brolin replaces Clive Owen as Dwight—two moves we feel real good about even if the original castings were excellent in their own right. And we trust that with enough swords in hand, Jamie Chung will bring the necessary intangibles to Miho that made Devon Aoki so deadly believable the first time around—even if she never said a word. The biggest delight, however, is the addition of Eva Green as Ava Lord, who has spent her career redefining the femme fatale archetype with characters infinitely more complex than just sexy silhouettes—but it doesn't hurt that she's got a really good one of those, too. May we all live in sin together" YouTube link Amicalement Armand |

Not knowing the graphic novel, is this a prequal, sequal or something else? I did thoroughly enjoy the first movie. |

It's been a while since I read the books, but I believe some sequences are prequels and some are sequels. Some are probably something else, too. Sorry, not much help. :) |

The one story occurs before the events in the first movie. |
