Just finished this one up last week. It's my tallest piece of terrain yet, a Hi-Rise Tenement building.

Built from a kitbashed combination of parts of Pokemon and Toy Story playsets that I found at reasale shops and alot of other bits.

It's part of my ongoing project to build a city layout that is industrial, and very worn. The idea is that it is run-down, grimy and even abandoned in places, but not one of the Bombed-out cityscapes that appear in so much wargaming these days. I'd like it to function equally well in near or far-future gaming. I've got a number of medium sized buildings, but the focus from here out is going to be mostly large buildings that are useable in skirmish games, but big enough to provide lots of cover for the 28mm Mech games that I've been running yearly at the Little Wars Convention.

You can visit our club's blog for lots of other clickable pictures (open in "new tab" to bypass the Blogger slideshow and see them in their larger sizes) as well as pre-paint in-progress pictures and how-to instructions. link

If all goes according to play, I will get to game with this terrain piece tonight! Great work Karl!

Love seeing the Urban War/VOID minis also…

Glad you all enjoyed it. I aim to please!

Zargon,
Thanks, but you might want to check the blog and see the backside before you sign a lease. It's a bit drafty….

Mardaddy,
Void Junkers are a favorite of mine. One of my start-and-stop projects is slowly building a Junkers army, probably for use in games like Warpath and WarEngine, and possibly as a proxy ork army. 70 figs down, about that many left. Unfortunately I haven't made any progress since over a year ago when I painted 50 Legionnaires at once and got a bit burnt out.

Excellent!! Congratulations.

We need more ideas of such different towns and/or landscapes.

Cool! Reminds me of both Blade Runner and of various steampunk buildings. Nice job!

Excellent, and very inspiring!

Javelin,
The seedy side of Blade Runner is very much what I had in mind. Sort of what the Chicago or Detroit might look like in a not-quite-cyberpunk future.
