I've just spent a few days making some little model houses for my Marengo project. These are made from card, textured with tile filler, and painted with wall paint from my garage – so cost me nothing but my time.
More pictures on my blog here… link Thanks for looking, Colin |

Well done. I wished I had your skills. Once you finish the battle you can still play a bit when eating the veau Marengo for diner… |

Great work; I am always impressed with scratch-built structures. |

That's excellent work, Colin. They compare very nicely with my 15mm JR Miniatures buildings. And your cost vs mine is so much more in your favor ….. |

Don't "toss" your proto-type. Perhaps too large for 15mm figures, but probably "just right" for 28mm figures. |

Thanks for the great feedback. I'm working on a small towered storage building now – not sure what it could be used in real life for but its will look good on the table. The proto-type building will be finished and put on eBay. Its a great looking building, and is maybe perfect for 20mm. If I sell it for decent money it can go towards funding some Austrian cavalry. |
