I don't have a reason for doing this conversion other than the fact i thought it would look pretty cool, the standard was a back banner from a 40k terminator and commissar Zarkov is from the old Kremlin range now being produced by M.Y Miniature. I Hope you like him i think that he would make a great character for a 15mm 40k Imperial guard army which i might look into doing one day. :) Zac

Let's see it painted up. TK 421 its in the que im just debating if i should paint him up as a 40k Imperial commissar or a character for a Battletech House Steiner 15mm army platoon. Outstanding. I have that figure. Now I need that banner. Thanks Ivan DBA i found this particular back banner with some other bits in a small job lot on E-Bay, i had to dremmel off the pole from the back of the banner as it was not the same thickness as the flag pole that the commissar miniature was wielding. Then it was a simple case of dremmeling out a new groove for the commissar's flag pole to slot into making for a good bond when the two parts were glued together, if you cant find this particular fist icon banner there are loads of other plastic ones which cost about 50p each and would be easier to fix to the miniatures flag pole. very cool. Thank's Gunner Dunbar im nowhere near as good as you are with modeling putty but im not to bad at kitbashing stuff which comes from years of converting Battletech mech variants. :) Zac |

works well Thanks, now if i decide to use him as a character figure in a House Steiner Battletech platoon i think i will have to use some Micropanzer troopers wearing Fritz style helmets as they have similar looking uniforms but the helmet seals the deal for them. So four squads of eight troops one of them being a support squad and a couple of N Scale Zeus Assault mechs should make for a interesting force i think. nice. one vote for Steiner. mike Hey Mike long time no see, why am i not surprised to hear you say that… hmmm i'll need to pick up another N Scale Zeus from somewhere and possibly a few large MWDA clicky vehicles but it does sound like an appealing and quite a different force for 15mm scale gaming. :) Zac |

I've just placed a order for these new 15mm Stan Johnson Colonial marines to be used for my regular Steiner infantry, i think they fit the bill very well. link
