This was posted on the F&F Yahoo Group' "I'm a lead editor for the new RF&F ACW Scenario Book, 1862-1863, Volume 2. I've finished my edits and reviews for all of the scenarios and they are in the hands of Rich Hasenauer. I suspect that he will send the manuscript to the publishers within a week. The target release date is November at Fall-In! but I suspect that it will be available sooner on the website ( www,fireandfury.com ). It is worth the wait;-) Best, Lowell D. Hamilton" "there are new optional rules! The main and subheadings for the optional rules are: MANEUVERS Full Move Disordered Crack Troops Charging with Cold Steel Prolonging Guns Rallying Guns Restrictions on Heavy Field Guns WEAPONS Rifle and Carbine (RC) Repeater (RP) Heavy Howitzer (HH) Mountain Howitzer (MH) MARKERS Tethered Horses Marker Best, Lowell" |

Nice selection. It would be nice to see some one put together the battle in New Mexico. |

Got the scenario book. Page 7 refers to an expanded scenario for FT DONELSON on the Fire & Fury website. I cannot find it there. Has it been posted? |

Hi tankette. I'm a lead editor for the RF&F ACW Scenario Book, 1861-1862, Volume 1 and the new Scenario Book, 1862-1863, Volume 2. Now that Volume 2 is completed, Rich and I are currently editing the three expansion scenarios for Fort Donelson, McDowell and Mechanicsville. We want the scenarios to be as error free as possible and as a result, it is taking longer than we anticipated. I slowed down the process by suggesting an entire expanded scenario map be included instead of just the expansion portion of the map. It will be easier to build the terrain board with one continuous map instead of working from two separate maps. My edits are complete for all three scenarios and I expect to hand them off to Rich over the weekend. When we ran out of room in the scenario book for these expanded scenarios, I suggested to Rich that he offer them free to RF&F players on the website as a "thank you bonus" for purchasing the rules and the scenario book. Soon the RF&F forum page will announce the link to the scenarios, you will see the results and you won't be disappointed. Best, Lowell D. Hamilton |
