I read everything about Frothers, etc.

I don't give a rat's derriere about what they say or think.

This is a hobby site not fluff/sensationalist/trash journalism.

Write and post better, this is getting old, this is not why I'm here.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw hand grenades.

End of polemic euphemisms and lectures.

Its evident though that some people do care and how can it cause any harm to let people talk about it. All you have to do is avoid the threads you don't want to read.

Good point Skippy. No idea why it's so important for a couple of people to keep banging away on these topics. They don't own any part of this board, they don't know the objects of their enmity personally and if they don't want to deal with a board that causes them issues, then I can't understand for the life of me why THEY don't leave.

I'm seriously looking into using clear bases.

Just John:

That's a fair question…and I can only answer for myself. Quite frankly, I don't think we would be having this discussion if the new editors were male and/or white. I can't help but wonder if these exagerated "concerns" are a smokescreen for something ugly.

I think it's a Communist plot. All the worst stuff is a Communist plot.

I like clear bases, but they tend to slide on some terrain…

Seriously thinking of getting one of these:

Clear bases tend to get scratched. Easily.

If the wrong kinda glue is used it could melt or etch them.

Charlie 1229 Jul 2014 8:52 p.m. PST

I gotta come up with a better glue. My static grass (as opposed to static cling) rubs off too easily.

I use Chameleon flock on all my bases so they match whichever surface I use.

Musketier30 Jul 2014 5:36 a.m. PST

I most certainly don't.

For individual 30mm figures, I've come round to clear bases, painted a shade of olive close to my tabletop throw.

Multiple based 15s get the sand and white glue treatment.

Chameleon flock eh? Do you get that from the same source as tartan paint?

GarrisonMiniatures30 Jul 2014 10:29 a.m. PST

Tried tartan paint once but it wasn't as useful as I thought it would be – wrong scale.

Scaley Tartan paint is good for sci-fi Scottish snakes.

Who gives a flock?

Sheep.

14Bore30 Jul 2014 4:49 p.m. PST

I don't, my bases are flock-less so have none.

Flatland Hillbilly30 Jul 2014 6:12 p.m. PST

When I was finishing off my GW battle boards I went flocking crazy. :-)
