I actually saw a set in my local game store and wondered why anyone would need it. I guess it can add some detail, but I don't know if it's really necessary. |

I guess this is a sort of Costco thing (Costco is a giant membership warehouse store in the US) -- you buy it once and your casualty figure needs are taken care of forever. I'm actually considering buying it; the prisoners and the dismembered bodies in trunks would be useful for Call of Cthulhu. |

The mix is interesting. I can see a bunch I can use and some that I have no idea how I would use it. A dead ostrich and kangaroo? Zombie attacking a zoo maybe? |

There are some useful pieces there, but I was surprised at no dead lion or Bengal tiger -- for big game hunts. Probably more useful for model railroaders, who often like to build humorous (or not-so-humorous) vignettes in out-of-the-way places on their train layouts. |

You could not have seen this set in your local store because it is only available direct to consumers and the only complete set I've sold thus far went to a customer in the UK. Here is some more information for those who are interested. Available from July 23rd to October 31st, 2014 then discontinued from johnnyborgcastings.com Download the three page flyer showing all 80 figures at ACTUAL SIZE, and price list. PDF link Sold as singles or a set, some minis are as cheap as 25 cents each with the vast majority in the $1 USD to $2 USD range. This is the only release I will have in 2014. The figures are 28mm scale and can be used with 1:48 or "O" scale too, cast in white metal (tin alloy), unpainted, with a flat rate world shipping rate of $10 USD, Paypal accepted, and a minimum order of $15 USD or more. |

Maybe I saw something else. They were road kill miniatures, though. |

Not a problem. Armorcast makes a few road kill figures with tire marks through them, and there is another company who's name eludes me just now who makes some dead bloated cows, but I believe that is it for road kill. |
