Wonderful models, painting and basing. My only negative comment would be the random placing of the figures, especially in the top photo. Now I am no Summerfield, but the spongeman should be on the right of the gun, the loader on the left. Why use the rammer, when the loader still has the round in his hands? The ready use ammo crate directly in front of the muzzle is asking for trouble. The lad giving the thumbs down should be serving his vent to save the rammer's arms from getting blown off accidentally. As for firer, I wish he would hold his portfire a bit further away from the vent! Details only I know. Great work! |

I agree, first rate arttillery bases! As wargamers, we are somewhat constrained by the models avaialable, and the need to ft them onto bases of a standard size. Trust me, of the 100+ artillery bases in my armies, no one has *ever* fussed about the placement of the crew members! :-) |

Which is why my artillerists are singly based. Just for yucks, I do like to have the port-fire and rammer both in action at the same time. |
