I couldn't make it to Historicon this year, but one of my contributors was nice enough to snap pics of some of the events I was interested in:

And it wouldn't be my blog if I didn't have pics of much-loved/much-maligned genre.

Who could hate the Gnomes? Although I don't think I would every PLAY a game with them (too little time, too many other priorities) but I always love seeing what they come up with. My favorite was Fall-In last year with the Teddy Bears on Rocking Horses. (Might have been a different group but I still loved seeing it)

Outside of Skittles catapults, cheese throwers, and the like, it's geared towards fast paced trench warfare.

The Teddy Bears are awesome (but not us) although we do have a Zulu game in the works using the British bears and craft store Easter "Chicka Zulus. ". I've run versions with my kids, but one of our cohort has them a bit more elaborate and a bit sturdier.
