It'll be the second session in the Shattered Star Adventure Path. I'm DMing.
The party consists of a Human Gunslinger (w/musket), a Half-elf Bonded Witch, and an Elf Ninja/Sorcerer (Shadow bloodline.)
We have another player who is a straight-up human fighter, but he did not show last session and cannot again this session… he works at LegoLand and it being the summer, he has little input into his schedule to make time to actually play. If the PC's get a few levels, we may have to just cut his PC, but until then, we'll fold him in if he can make it.
I'm impressed with the players actions so far… there was potential twice for things to go south and them having to fight their way against odds to keep the Adventure Path moving forward, both times they avoided actual fighting by smartly seeking out additional support and resources (and using deft roleplay.)
No way to escape some combat with this upcoming session though… they should be able to resolve the first chapter and get a, "big reveal," by the end of the session.
It's hilarious, because one of the players said to another at some point, "we're FIRST level, it's not like we'll gte some artifact, this is low-level stuff." And the entire Adventure Path (taking PC's from 1st to 15th level) revolves around piecing together a powerful ARTIFACT from its scattered parts; and the ramifications that has on the players, history, and the continent at large…
