I'm thinking about the 1/1200 scale models here, the ones in the same range as the waterline Revell kits but were originally produced by Esci or maybe even another company before that. Were these three models all individuals or were they the same kit shoved in different boxes? |

Same kit different box, but the sisters were close enough that it does not matter. I use the same kit for all three. Roma differed a little from the other two in the detailing in the platforms around the lower bridge/fore funnel – but so little that the differences could be attributed to pre and post refit look. Also, Roma's bow was extended by a couple feet and raised a bit to improve sea keeping, but that would not be noticeable at 1/1200. Post 1943 however, Roma differed considerably, having no "B" turret, not to mention no bows. |

That's true Virtualscratchbuilder, they were indeed very similar, indeed so similar I can't tell the difference between Littorio and Vittorio Veneto. :( The Roma I can spot, especially after the German modifications carried out in 1943… Thanks very much for answering. |
